Thank You!

On behalf of Operation SPOT (Stop Pet Overpopulation Today), I¹d like to
thank the 19 St. Louis-area veterinary clinics that participated in our
TenSPOT Fix on March 8th and 9th. The dedicated veterinarians and their
staff who joined us in this program were able to spay and neuter 743
cats and dogs - and save many times that number from an untimely death at an
overcrowded animal shelter - Or worse.

One unspayed dog or cat can produce an average of twelve offspring
her first year. Over six years, she and her unaltered offspring can produce
67,000 puppies or kittens. In 2006, more than 25,000 cats and dogs,
kittens and puppies, were killed in St. Louis area pounds and shelters, not
just because there were not enough homes and not enough room to house the
overflow, but because of a failure to spay and neuter.

The TenSPOT Fix enables pet owners to have a dog or cat altered
for only $10. The dog or cat guardian pays only $10 while OpSPOT pays the
veterinarians at a reduced rate to perform the procedures. These programs,
held each March and September, dramatically affect the euthanaisa rate in
our area. This rate has fallen annually since OpSPOT began in 1996. We would
never be able to sponsor this important service without the help of many
generous donors too numerous to mention. Every donation to OpSPOT makes a
difference.

We thank all our generous donors who support this program, as well
as everyone who came to our "SPAYghetti Dinner and Auction", held in
observance of Spay Day USA in February, which also helped fund this effort.

Best,
Liz Rudder
Executive Director, Operation SPOT
